About This Spot

Stepping into Zoro’s Gyros in the heart of Dubuque, you’re embraced by an atmosphere that feels both inviting and familiar—like a warmly lit corner where the echoes of lively Mediterranean chatter meet the comforting hum of a neighborhood eatery. The pace here is unhurried yet friendly, a place where you can relax and soak in the quiet buzz of a community spot that welcomes everyone with open arms.

From the first bite, Zoro’s reveals its heart through food crafted with care and tradition. Each gyro carries a sense of old-world Greece, tender and richly seasoned, paired thoughtfully with Greek fries dusted in herbs that add a savory crispness with every forkful. Beyond the gyros, the menu invites exploration: hints of spicy chicken pita or the unexpected delight of Italian beef alongside a sweet finish of homemade baklava, all reflecting a kitchen shaped by genuine heritage and warm hospitality.

While the dining space is cozy and intimate, it’s enough to bring people together—locals and visitors alike—who appreciate honest flavors and the simple pleasure of sharing a meal. Whether you’re stopping by after a day spent in Dubuque or making a point to seek out authentic Mediterranean fare, Zoro’s strikes a balance between casual comfort and flavorful discovery.

Here, the owners’ personal touch is felt not only in the kitchen but also in the moments exchanged with guests—adding layers of character to a place that feels less like a quick stop and more like a small celebration of community and culture. For those who seek a genuine taste of Greece nestled in the Midwest, Zoro’s Gyros offers a quietly memorable experience, where food and warmth unfold naturally.

My family and I went to Zoro's on a day trip in Dubuque, and it was FANTASTIC. The owner was so kind and the 4 gyros we ordered were ready within 10 minutes. The atmosphere of the shop was very cozy and the food was delicious!!

Have been in several times for gyros. As the owners are Greek the food is authentic and very tasty. Actually, they make the best gyros within an hour radius to my home. Not sure if it's a cultural thing, but I would consider the owners a little short with customers. The first time we were there, an hour before their closing time, we were told we wouldn't be able to dine in. As we live 45 minutes away we weren't just running home with our dinner so we needed to find somewhere else to eat our dinner. That was a little inconvenient

August 29th my little peoples and I got some great food and dessert from Zoro’s Gyrossupreme gyro was loaded and the tzatziki sauce fries were exactly what I was looking for with a golden outside with fluffy potato on the inside and the strips were flavorful and filling Baklava was everything I needed to close my night outI would have to say the couple who greeted me as I walked in were the owners and they were very nice, friendly and polite it’s a real treat when all these things happen under one roof Will order again

The food was pretty good. The service was great. The open area of the dining room is small but that was fine because not many people were there. My 9 year old son who absolutely loves burgers said this burger didn’t taste like a regular burger and he rated it a 3, but he ate it all. My husband and I enjoyed our Gyros.

They not only have amazing Gyros, but also amazing Italian Beef. My top two favorite foods. The service is great, the people there are fast and very kind. Oh and if you get a chance. Try the Baklava, it's simply This has gotta be one of my favorite places to eat since I've moved to Dubuque. *Updating my Review, it's still one of my favorite places to eat in this town. It's always clean, foods always well prepared and the service is always quick

I had the best gyro from Zorros! I ordered the gyro supreme and it was packed with meat, tzatziki, homemade feta, and veg! The owners are so sweet and I can’t wait to go back.

Stopped by on my trip back to Kansas. I feel like my picture is distorted due to the lense and doesn't give the gyro justice. They stuff it with plenty of meat and tzatziki sauce. Service was great and fast. Will come back next time I am around.
